Ares I-X test flight moved up

NASA’s test model of the rocket that will take us back to the Moon and onto Mars, will launch on a test flight on October 27^th, 4 days earlier then expected.

The test flight of the rocket in this schematic shows that Ares I-X will fly to a height of 150,000 feet before falling back to Earth

The possibility was made after engineers completed their work on the booster ahead of schedule.

Currently they are running a countdown simulation. NASA mission managers still have to finalize the sooner launch date. The test flight was originally scheduled for October 31^st.
